2014 – 10 Years Cologne International Videoart Festival
Shoah Film Collection –
is happy to include a new film – by Istvan Horkay,
entitled “Raoul Wallenberg”, it is about 60 minutes long,
portraying the famous Swedish diplomate in Budapest,
who saved so many Jews 1944/45.
Also in terms of the aniti-semitic movement in Hungary these days,
the film gets a particular relevance.
SFC – Shoah Film Collection
is an initiative by Wilfried Agricola de Cologne
founded in 2010 in order to encourage young artists generations
to keep vivid the memory of the Holocaust by sensitizing people via art.
The collection encompasses currently about 60 artfilms and videos
from documentation to experiment by artists from 14 coutries.

10th Cologne International Videoart Festival
Cologne International Videoart Festival is celebrating in 2014 its 10th festival edition, standing unter the topic of “TOTAL ART” (“Gesamtkunstwerk”)
CologneOFF X is showing video as a multi-facetted artistic audio-visual medium to be executed solely by its creator or a group of creators, including filming, cutting, editing, composing, post-producing etc, thus the whole creation in one single hand.
The digitalization of video made it only possible, that artists can create such a total
art work due to the affordability of the entire production. It is not even necessary to have the most advanced professional equipment for creating excellent art works.

Hope you’re doing well. I’m contacting you because we want to thank you! The content you provided us was really fantastic. We found that not only our guests but our residents (and us here at the gallery) were very impressed by the work. All the DVDs worked perfectly smoothly and the image quality on all the videos were impeccable. We got great responses from guests about the videos and many guests spent a long time sitting watching them! I found myself entranced by much of the work and spent some time looking up artists you curated into the DVDs.
It was really great working with you and we can’t thank you enough for providing such quality content to exhibit. We’re excited for any future ventures we might be able to team up on!
